A deadly wildfire has ravaged the wine-producing region of Limassol, Cyprus, destroying over 100 square kilometers of forest and vineyard land. At Wine-Delivery.online, we’re responding by spotlighting Limassol-region wines through our private wine tasting offerings — now featuring 60% wines from affected local wineries.

Wildfire Impact on Limassol’s Winery Region

In July 2025, a massive fire swept across Limassol, severely impacting multiple villages such as Souni, Zanatzia, Lofou, Malia, and Pachna. These areas are home to some of the most respected wineries in Cyprus. The fire tragically resulted in the loss of two lives and displaced dozens, while vineyards faced significant damage.

The renowned Zambartas Winery near Agios Ambrosios was saved but now remains temporarily closed due to its proximity to the fire zone. Wineries in Kyvides, Vouni, and Monagri have also reported threats or damage.

Wine Tasting with a Purpose

To support local recovery efforts, our private wine tasting events will now include 60% wines sourced from the Limassol region. This not only supports the local winery economy but also helps preserve the historic wine culture of Cyprus.

Each wine tasting session will feature exclusive bottles and vintages from affected areas, sharing stories of resilience and recovery alongside each pour. Participating helps these wineries rebuild, replant, and recover from the fire’s devastating impact.
