Today we are going to speak about how to get the best wine in restaurant and because we are in Cyprus, we are going to get the main information about Cypriot wines.
We know that every county has his own wines difficult to recognize if you are not living in. Cyprus is beautiful country but most of the wine labels are in Greek which makes our choice much more difficult and in this part we are going to speak about Xynisteri Cypriot more commend grape variety.
Xynisteri exist in every wine list in Cyprus some wine lists have more than 5 different Xynisteri most of them 100% Xynisteri. This Cypriot grape variety is fresh, easy drinkable and with height acidity easy to be matched with Cypriot traditional food, souvla (meat on a stick and grilled) instead of using lemon try to get nice Xynisteri like this you will get the best match. Halloumi traditional Cypriot goat`s and sheep`s cheese mostly grilled and served with tomatoes getting easy one of the food and wine combinations for small lunch. Get a glass of Xynisteri and enjoy your lunch next to the sea. Musaka very nice homemade dish vegetarian and with minced meat near to lasagna but instead of pasta in musaka has potatoes, courgettes, eggplants with topping of béchamel also get Xynisteri.
